OUR HOTEL…“On the southern edge of Nordegg, the Service Station, part of which was once Reed’s Garage, is still in operation. Here also, north of the Garage, is the Nordegg Resort Lodge. Portions of this establishment are located on the western edge of what used to be the community Horse pasture. When Don Reed, as a teenager, took up flying, this was where he landed his single engine plane after first buzzing the field to her the horses out of his way.”

OUR STORE… “In 1937 the Reed family, consisting of father Melvin, mother Rose, Robert (Bob) and his siblings Bernice, Don and Francis, re-located to Nordegg, AB where they owned and operated the family business, Reeds Highway Service Garage and Auto Camp Cabin and Cafe. Work ethics and skills were instilled in each of the siblings where they were challenged with and responsible for a diverse variety of tasks ranging from baking pies to changing tires.” Author Unknown
